Code of Ethics

Last updated: July 2026

Buffalo Bills Community is committed to editorial independence, fairness, and accountability in everything we publish. This Code of Ethics governs how our staff, contributors, and partners conduct themselves in the creation and distribution of our content.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of sponsors, advertisers, partners, and any outside organization. No individual or entity may purchase influence over our coverage, story selection, or editorial judgment. Business relationships never determine what we cover or how we cover it.

Conflicts of Interest

Staff and contributors must disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationship that could reasonably be seen as influencing their reporting or writing. Where a conflict exists, the affected individual is recused from covering that topic, or the conflict is clearly disclosed to readers within the relevant content.

Accuracy and Fact-Checking

We are committed to publishing accurate, well-sourced information. Content is fact-checked prior to publication wherever possible, and we rely on primary sources and firsthand knowledge whenever available. When we make a mistake, we correct it openly and promptly in line with our Corrections Policy.

No Pay-for-Coverage

We do not accept payment, gifts, or other consideration in exchange for favorable coverage. Sponsored or promotional content, if any, is always clearly and prominently labeled as such and is never presented as independent editorial content.

Protection of Sources

When a source is granted confidentiality, we honor that commitment. We do not reveal confidential sources except where required by law, and we take reasonable steps to protect the safety and privacy of individuals who share information with us in confidence.

Fairness and Diverse Perspectives

We strive to represent the communities we serve fairly and accurately. Where a story involves disagreement, controversy, or multiple stakeholders, we make a good-faith effort to reflect a diversity of relevant perspectives and to give affected parties a fair opportunity to respond.

Respect and Non-Discrimination

Our content and our conduct reflect respect for all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or veteran status. We do not publish content intended to demean, harass, or incite hostility toward any person or group.

Accountability

We welcome feedback from our readers and take concerns about our content seriously. If you believe we have fallen short of these standards, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.
